“Well, it’s a billionaire’s playground,” Cohen remarked. They’re going to give the ladies of Beverly Hills a run for their money.”

During an appearance on the “Today Show” on November 1, Cohen introduced the new franchise.

“Get your passports, our 11th city!” says the narrator. During his presentation, Cohen stated. “We’re headed to ‘The Real Housewives of Dubai,’ the billionaire’s playground, the city of gold, the desert paradise.” This is going to completely deflate the franchise.”

The New Franchise Is Upsetting Some Fans

Following Cohen’s introduction of the new franchise, several fans expressed their displeasure on social media, citing certain of Dubai’s rules as a source of worry. The concept of a new franchise didn’t appear to thrill many fans.

“Something seems a little sick about the real housewives of Dubai teaser calling it the ‘country of opportunity’ since 90% of housewives fans might be put to death there for their sexuality,” one Twitter user remarked.

“I honestly can’t get behind Real Housewives of Dubai-now Andy’s just mocking us about the cravenness of how these ppl obtain and retain their money,” one user said. The level of labor exploitation in Dubai is simply too much for me to ‘enjoy’ their little experiences.” “No, the more I think about it, the more I believe Real Housewives of Dubai is probably the worst move Bravo could make, particularly as it’s attempting to combine not being problematic/platforming problematic individuals with entertaining,” another said.

Bravo’s most recent new franchise was announced two years ago.

Since Cohen announced the inclusion of “The Real Housewies of Salt Lake City” at BravoCon in 2019, Bravo fans haven’t seen a new brand added to the mix. The franchise is now in its second season.

“We’ve always attempted to choose a city with entirely distinct characters, and we also aim to throw a curveball every now and again.” As reported by People at the time, Cohen remarked during BravoCon, “Pick someplace you weren’t anticipating.” “We are ecstatic to visit Salt Lake City, Utah!”

“You didn’t see it coming,” Cohen added, “but I have to tell you, in Utah, you have the beauty of the mountains, the Mormon faith, an elite society of highly wealthy businesspeople who live in their own world.” It’s stunning, and I believe you’ll be pleasantly pleased and captivated by the mix of ladies we’ve together.”

“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” airs on Bravo every Sunday night at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.
